The majority of plastic waste is considered non-recyclable and therefore contributes to pollution and global warming. Of all the plastic waste from domestic-, industrial-, environmental- and/or agricultural sources, only 40-50% is recycled. The quality of the recycled plastic is often an issue and to assure the required properties of the final product, virgin plastic is added. The remaining 50-60% of mixed plastic waste ends up in landfills or is incinerated for energy recovery, releasing GHG emissions into the atmosphere.
The worldwide patented process transforms the abundant mixed plastic waste into strong, durable and environmentally friendly products with a long lifecycle remaining 100% recyclable (circular economy).
Products made of PlastibriQ’s pQ-plastic, especially those traditionally made of steel or wood, reduces GHG emissions directly and indirectly.
Sustainable production | Negative carbon emissions | strong, durable, long-lasting | can replace wood or steel in many products or applications | resistant to prolonged exposure to chemicals and (sea)water | employable in temperatures -40C to +70C
Sustainable production | Negative carbon emissions | Endlessly recyclable - circular economy | The only affordable technology currently available to process non-recyclable plastic waste streams | Saves millions of trees when pQ-plastic is used to replace wood | Helps to clean the oceans and rivers by transferring plastic soup into products, which protect the sea and river shores and coast lines
Currently pQ-plastic is made into high-volume products, like pallets, sewage covers, road stabilization mats as well as beams, plates and panels replacing wood for the protection of river shores and coast lines, construction, outdoor furniture and base blocks for fencing.
